Short Biography
Born 1968, Chicago/Lives and works in Mexico City
Mark Powell is a photographer who works extensively between his native Detroit and Mexico City. Powell has exhibited work at Gallery 40000, Chicago (2007), Roebling Hall, New York (2006), the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (2006), and Gas Gallery, New York (2005). A book for his photography, V.I.P. (Very Important Person), was published in Mexico by Diamantina in 2006, Powell teaches Digital Photography workshops in El Faro Oriente, Iztapalapa, Mexico City.
